"Take my hand, walk with me"
Welcomed to the world with fragrant flowers
Our innocent life quickly engages
A flower’s friendship from cradle to grave;
Joyous occasions mixed with nettled paths
The nonverbal flower shadows our steps;
A single rose for anger abated
A huge bouquet with hopes of wedded bliss
Sweet-scented blossoms’ congratulations
Unrestricted love with each transition;
At gravesite life’s finality addressed
Amid grieving tears its beauty holds fast
Until the soul takes leave bidding farewell
Head bowed the flower then gracefully fades
A FLOWER’S SOLILOQUY – SYNOPSIS
There is no greater voice than that of the flower. It greets us at birth amid helium balloons and shadows life’s many transitions with nonverbal expression. Sentiments of love, friendship, sympathy, and hope are projected in its fragrant beauty. Then, when our life is complete, the flower ushers us to the grave. Once satisfied the soul has departed to the spirit world, it slowly fades and lowers its blossoms to the ground.
